Amazon Prime Video The Wilds S2


Before The Summer I Turned Pretty, Amazon Prime Video had The Wilds. And ahead of the launch of the second season, we were tasked with creating a campaign that really brought fans into the marketing campaign. So rather than just curating posts, we built a text campaign that turned every participant into a member of the story.

We took the villain from the story and a number seen briefly in the show’s first season and created a text bot  — unleashing a story that recapped the first season, previewed the second season, and brought new and existing fans that much closer to the characters.

After building the narrative and writing the text script, we collaborated with the EPs to ensure the tone and voice (ba dum tiss) of the text thread was accurate. Then, we set the approved script loose for the core fans to enjoy. 

As the thread filled the weeks before launch day, we partnered with Amazon on an in-person viewing event that brought influencers and internet personalities, as well as a few lucky fans, together to get a sneak peek of the new season.  All culminating in a huge number of eyes on the show before launch day and a successful launch!
